SS Yuvi 20/20 English Willow Bat Review

Hello Everyone!

It happened quite a few times that whenever I tried to purchase a new cricket bat, I have found myself in dilemma.  It happens not because I don't know what to purchase, but because there are so many similar products available in the market at one hand and on the other hand very limited information available about performance and durability of these products. It means using all your skills you have to take a chance, if you are trying a new product.

This inspires me to write a review of Yuvi 20/20 English Cricket Willow Bat, which I am using since last few months. This review will be helpful for those who are planning to buy a new English Willow Bat sooner or later and have questions about the performance and durability of this bat.

SS Yuvi 20/20 English Willow Bat

Bat Name

SS Yuvi 20/20 English Willow Bat

Company

SS

Range

6,000 to 6,500/- depends upon the shop you buy.

Features

  • This bat is latest model of TON cricket bat from SS.
  • It has huge sweet spot, so even if you could not hit from center of the bat, it gives enough speed to bowl to clear the ground.
  • Due to carved back, it provides great balance while playing.
  • It is made of good quality English willow in this range.
  • Round handle provides superior gripping condition. Put double grips if you need more grip while playing.
  • Due concave edges less change of breaking the bat if ball hits bottom edge.
  • Handle is made up of combination of Sarawak Cane, which absorbs impact and provides powerful stroke play.
  • So far I have found good rebound quality without any jerk
  • Blades are thicker on bottom compare to other bats. It is good for those who uses there bottom hand to play powerful shots.
  • Because of thick bottom less chance of cracking the bat, even if hits bottom.

Suggestion

  • Do not play immediately after buying the bat, it may crack the bat.
  • To prepare bat for game, first machine knock it.
  • After machine knocking, use hammer to knock at home for 2-3 hours.
  • After hammer knocking do ball knocking at home for 2-3 hours with an old ball for good stock play.
  • Take it to 3- 4 games and do catching practice for a total of 2 hours.
  • Take it for 2-3 Net Practice sessions and give it to the batsman who plays with straight bat.
  • By Now It will start making sweet sound and good rebound as ball hits the bat, now it is ready to use in ground.

Nicely written review with key points mentioned.
I have this bat since last four years and every time I go out to bat, it never disappoints me.
